Blanca Haddad is a painter and a poet. She is one of the most well-known artists of the Latin-American underground scene. She has participated in the Havana Biennale, the International Polipoetics Festival of Barcelona and Ladyfest among others. She has published two collections of her poems and drawings with Ediciones Karakarton and Libros en su tinta Ediciones. She has collaborated with a range of different zines and magazines such as Arriba las brujas, Escrituras Indies and The Social Poet. Currently, she lives in Barcelonan where she works as a painter and as the creative director of the experimental theatre company, NES. She also organizes the annual poetry festival, OREIG, in Barcelona.
She has a Degree in Fine Arts (Iuesapar,Venezuela), an MA in Art Therapy (University of Barcelona) and an MSc in Social Development & Health (Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh).
